Film Film and more Film.

Sohaila Lindheim is an award winning screenwriter, director and editor from Limerick, Ireland. Self-taught in all areas, her thirst for filmmaking began in 2017 when her first short film script ‘Bluebell’ was shortlisted by Screen Ireland’s ‘Short Stories’ competition.

Since then she has consistently been working in film; writing, directing and producing. Her work has earned her the recent titles ‘Best Female Filmmaker’ in the New Jersey Film Festival (2025), ‘Best Director’ Monthly Indie Shorts (2024), and ‘Best Female Filmmaker’ at Indie Short Fest in L.A (2022).

Sohaila is also an experienced video editor and is the owner and operator of a Blackmagic 4k cinema camera. She is inspired by Christopher Nolan & Quentin Tarantino’s style of writing and the visual boldness of David Lynch, Darren Aronofsky, Yorgos Lanthimos and The Safdie Brothers.

Sohaila is currently working on her first feature ‘Somewhere Along Grief’; An art house film that delves into the uncomfortable reality of grief. Production is currently ongoing in California and Ireland.
